Top Islamic Religion - Teaching Degree Study Programs in Germany without tuition fees (2026/27)

Germany offers international students a unique opportunity to pursue a Teaching Degree in Islamic Religion that uniquely combines theological scholarship with specialised pedagogical training in one of Europe's most diverse multicultural societies. The programme provides in-depth knowledge of Islamic texts, traditions, history and contemporary thought, as well as advanced teaching methods specifically designed for religious education in public schools within Germany's constitutional framework, which respects religious pluralism while maintaining secular educational standards. Students benefit from Germany's growing Muslim communities, established Islamic theological departments at several universities and innovative approaches to inter-religious dialogue, while gaining practical teaching experience through structured placements in schools where Islamic RE is integrated into the curriculum alongside other religious traditions.
