Music - Teacher Education Primary School [Grundschule]: List of all tuition-free study programs in Germany (2026/2027)

Studying music to become a teacher at comprehensive schools means combining your own passion for music with the opportunity to nurture young people from all backgrounds and ability levels, both artistically and personally. As a music teacher at a comprehensive school, you encounter the whole diversity of young people – from those who have never held an instrument in their hands to those who already play in bands or enjoy classical lessons. This heterogeneity makes music lessons particularly lively: music does not have advanced courses in the traditional sense, but connects where other subjects divide.
