The Fachhochschule Dortmund (FH Dortmund), established in 1971, is a public university of applied sciences. It has 14,000 students across its three campuses in Dortmund, which is North Rhine-Westphalia's third-largest city. Dortmund is located in the Ruhr industrial region and has 590,000 residents.
