HTW Dresden - University of Applied Sciences: Application Deadlines (2026/27)

The Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden (HTW Dresden) is Dresden's second-largest higher education institution. Established in 1992, it has 5,000 students enrolled in applied science programs in engineering, computer science, business administration, agriculture, environmental sciences, construction, geoinformation, and design. This public university operates from two main campuses near the city center of Dresden, the capital of Saxony (population 560,000), where living costs average €650–800 per month—significantly lower than in western German cities—while providing access to the region's growing technology sector, including semiconductor manufacturing, biotechnology, and software development. HTW Dresden offers approximately 40 bachelor's and master's programs, particularly focusing on mechatronics, civil engineering, business informatics, and agricultural sciences.
