The Hochschule für Jüdische Studien Heidelberg (HfJS), also known as the Heidelberg University of Jewish Studies, is a unique private institution of higher education founded in 1979 by the Central Council of Jews in Germany. As Europe's largest centre for Jewish Studies, the HfJS is a dynamic centre for scholarly discussion encompassing all facets of Jewish religion, history, culture and society.
