The Hochschule fĂŒr JĂŒdische Studien Heidelberg (HfJS), also known as the Heidelberg University of Jewish Studies, is a unique private institution of higher education founded in 1979 by the Central Council of Jews in Germany. As Europe's largest centre for Jewish Studies, the HfJS is a dynamic centre for scholarly discussion encompassing all facets of Jewish religion, history, culture and society. The HfJS is situated in the historic city of Heidelberg, Germany, and works in close collaboration with the renowned University of Heidelberg.
