The Institute for Diaconal Science and DiakonieManagement [IDM] is a university institution for interdisciplinary research and teaching in the field of diaconal science with the right to award doctorates and habilitation. The focus is on topics of corporate management and diaconal management.

The IDM is part of the Wuppertal / Bethel Church University.

The IDM qualifies nationwide executives from deaconry, church, health and social economy for the management of church and social organizations. Our students have several years of management experience and have degrees from subjects such as theology, social pedagogy, humanities, economics and social sciences. They come from different countries (Europe, Africa and Asia) and contexts.

At the IDM, you will continue your education in compact seminars, master’s courses or doctoral studies. The courses are organized by a multidisciplinary team of lecturers from science and practice.
