Mediadesign University of Applied Sciences: International Programs without Admission Restriction / NC-Free (2026/27)

Mediadesign Hochschule für Design und Informatik (MD.H), founded in 2004, is a private university with approximately 1,000 students across campuses in Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Munich, offering bachelor's and master's programs in media design, game design, digital film design, fashion management, and related creative fields. This private Fachhochschule charges tuition fees substantially higher than public institutions while focusing on practice-oriented education in creative industries, with programs emphasizing portfolio development, industry projects, and software skills over theoretical academic study. The multi-campus model allows students to choose between Germany's major creative centers—Berlin for startups and digital arts, Düsseldorf for advertising and fashion, Munich for media production—though each location operates somewhat independently with varying program availability and costs reflecting local living expenses ranging from €800-1,500 monthly. Programs operate primarily in German requiring B2-C1 proficiency for most degrees, with curriculum designed around industry software and creative projects rather than research, while mandatory internships connect students with regional creative agencies, game studios, and media companies though job placement varies significantly by field and talent.
