Dramaturgy International Programs in Germany: Application Deadlines (2026/27)

Dramaturgy programs in Germany equip international students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the art of dramatic composition and theatrical analysis, covering scriptwriting, stage direction, dramatic theory, performance analysis, and theater history while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. Studying in one of the world’s richest theatrical traditions, students engage directly with Germany’s vibrant performing arts scene—working on productions, collaborating with directors, writers, and actors, and participating in workshops and festivals at historic and contemporary theaters alike. Programs emphasize the relationship between text, performance, and cultural context, enabling students to craft compelling narratives and critically shape audience experiences.
