Mathematics - Teaching Degree Comprehensive School [Gesamtschule] Master Programs in Germany: Application Deadlines (2026/27)

Studying mathematics to become a teacher at comprehensive schools means teaching students of all ability levels the universal language of logic, structures, and problem solving. As a mathematics teacher at a comprehensive school, you teach young people with very different backgrounds—from those who struggle with basic arithmetic to those who are preparing for STEM studies. This heterogeneity is both a challenge and an opportunity: you learn to present mathematical concepts in a way that makes them accessible to everyone, and you experience the special satisfaction when a student who had long since given up on mathematics suddenly has a lightbulb moment.
