Augustana University Neuendettelsau, also known as Augustana Theological Seminary, is a small, state-recognised theological university of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria, founded in 1947 out of the church’s resistance to National Socialism. Located on a picturesque campus in Neuendettelsau with its distinctive round chapel, shell-shaped library and park-like grounds, Augustana fosters a close-knit academic community that combines rigorous scholarship with spiritual formation.
