HTW Berlin (the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin), also known as the University of Applied Sciences Berlin, is the largest university of applied sciences in Berlin. Founded in 1994, it is home to around 14,000 students. HTW Berlin operates on two main campuses: The Treskowallee campus is located in Karlshorst and features seminar buildings, a canteen, a library, and sports halls. The Wilhelminenhof campus is located in Oberschöneweide and is a former industrial site that has been transformed into a modern science campus directly on the River Spree.

Numerus Clausus (Admission Restriction)

For degree courses with a numerus clausus, part of the study places are allocated according to the grade point average (GPA) of the previous degree. Selection is generally based on how many applicants apply for a place. The higher the grade, the more difficult it is to get onto the course. The German grading system ranges from 1.0 (very good) to 6.0 (unsatisfactory).
