Aalen: International Programs with Admission Restriction — Numerus Clausus/NC (2026/27)

Aalen offers international students a calm, authentic living environment in eastern Baden-Württemberg—a compact city of around 70,000 where short distances, a relaxed pace of life, and a close-knit community help students feel at home quickly. Despite its small-town warmth, Aalen has a lively centre and historical roots stretching back to Roman times, with the Limesmuseum documenting one of the most important Roman frontier sites north of the Alps. Hochschule Aalen, with strengths in engineering, IT, and business, maintains strong ties to the region's manufacturing industry, opening doors to internships, practical projects, and career opportunities with well-known companies. Surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of the Swabian Alb, a UNESCO Global Geopark, the city puts hiking, cycling, and nature directly on your doorstep—ideal for weekends away from the desk.
