Study War & Conflict Studies in Frankfurt (Oder) (2026/27)

The study of war and conflict examines the root causes, evolving dynamics and far-reaching consequences of armed conflicts, developing effective strategies for sustainable peacebuilding. This interdisciplinary subject combines political science, history, sociology and international law in order to analyse complex global security issues and peace processes. Students critically engage with historical and contemporary conflicts, investigating international relations, humanitarian interventions and various approaches to preventing and resolving conflicts. Through rigorous case studies and independent research projects, students develop the analytical and critical thinking capabilities that are essential for assessing multifaceted conflicts and designing viable, long-term solutions.
