Care Management study programs

Study Care Management in Germany (2026/27)

Overview Deadlines

Care Management programs in Germany prepare international students to navigate and coordinate one of Europe’s most advanced healthcare systems, where aging demographics and rising chronic conditions demand innovative care models. These interdisciplinary, English-taught degrees train students to design integrated care pathways that reduce hospital readmissions, implement case management for patients with multiple conditions, develop digital platforms that connect fragmented providers, and manage costs across hospitals, nursing homes, and home care. Studying in Germany means learning within a real-world laboratory: partnerships with hospital networks implementing discharge management, insurance funds running disease management programs, municipalities integrating social and health services, nursing homes adopting person-centered care, and startups digitizing coordination.

Numerus Clausus (Admission Restriction)

For degree courses with a numerus clausus, part of the study places are allocated according to the grade point average (GPA) of the previous degree. Selection is generally based on how many applicants apply for a place. The higher the grade, the more difficult it is to get onto the course. The German grading system ranges from 1.0 (very good) to 6.0 (unsatisfactory).
