Political Theory International Programs in Germany: Application Deadlines (2026/27)

Political Theory programs in Germany provide international students with the opportunity to study in one of the world’s most intellectually rich environments, where the legacies of Marx, Arendt, and Habermas intersect with a political history shaped by dictatorship, division, and democratic renewal. These English-taught degrees combine philosophical depth with contemporary relevance, exploring themes such as human dignity in constitutional law, sovereignty in the context of European integration, populism through Critical Theory, and economic justice in debates on universal basic income. Students engage with classical thinkers from Plato to Rousseau as well as modern German contributions from Kant to the Frankfurt School, applying theoretical insights to pressing issues like migration policy, climate activism, and democratic resilience.
