Scandinavian Studies: List of all study programs in Germany (2026/27)

Studying Scandinavian Studies means mastering the languages, literature, and cultures of the Nordic countries – Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, and often Icelandic – while learning linguistics, translation, and cultural history to understand this region's distinct social and political models. This qualifies you for roles in translation and localization, publishing, cultural diplomacy, tourism, Nordic-focused business, or academic research, where you bridge Scandinavian and international contexts and bring Nordic language, literature, and social innovation to a global audience.
