Ingolstadt University of Technology (THI): No Admission Restriction / NC-Free (2026 /27)

THI is a public university of applied sciences in Ingolstadt, Bavaria — a mid-sized city built around Audi's global headquarters and a dense cluster of automotive and aerospace suppliers. That setting shapes nearly everything the university does. The academic core is engineering, computer science, and business, with particular strength in automotive engineering, autonomous and aerial mobility, and renewable energy systems. Its most distinctive asset is CARISSMA, one of Europe's leading research centers for integrated vehicle safety, complemented by institutes for innovative mobility, renewable energy systems, and the Bavarian Foresight Institute.

THI is also home to AI Motion, Bavaria's AI mobility node, which drives numerous research projects and has given many of the university's degree programs a strong AI focus. Proximity to Audi and the surrounding supplier network means internships and thesis projects typically run inside major industry partners rather than alongside them. The THI Business School holds AACSB accreditation — a benchmark few German business schools meet.

The second campus in Neuburg houses programs with a focus on sustainability and infrastructure. A meaningful share of courses is taught entirely in English, particularly in mobility, AI, and business — useful for international applicants who want exposure to Germany's automotive economy without first learning German.
