The University of Koblenz is the youngest university in Germany - and at the same time is based on a long academic tradition. They have combined their self-image in the term “continue: think”. This reflects the motivation and the demand of all members of the university to constantly question the familiar and familiar in order to gain new insights and to be a pioneer of holistic, interdisciplinary thinking. As the university in northern Rhineland-Palatinate, it sees itself as a driving force in the development of a lively economic and scientific region and is also internationally visible and networked.

Interdisciplinary and cross-institutional cooperation as well as short distances on campus characterize everyday university life. They enable lived interdisciplinarity and continuous innovations in science. Four profile areas are linked in a unique way: "Education", "Computer Science", "Culture and Communication" and "Material and Environment". They shape research and teaching and provide important impetus for teacher training, which plays a central role at the university.
