The Berlin International University of Applied Sciences (BI), formerly known as BAU International Berlin, is a private, non-profit university located in the heart of Berlin, Germany. It was founded in 2014 as part of the BAU Global Education Network, an international network of higher education institutions. The university comprises two faculties, a preparatory school, a research institute and a library. The urban campus is situated in the Charlottenburg district, in close proximity to Ernst Reuter Platz and Tiergarten underground and urban railway stations. The campus comprises modern classrooms, computer labs, design studios and student workspaces.

BI offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, taught entirely in English, focusing on business, architecture, design and technology. In 2021, the university will have around 535 students from 92 different countries. The university is accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities and is recognised as the 31st private university in Berlin under German law. Its mission is to provide an intercultural educational environment that fosters students' intellectual growth and creativity and prepares them for careers in a globalised world.

BI is part of the BAU Global network, which includes universities and academic centres in Washington, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Rome, Toronto, Batumi and Silicon Valley. The network enables students to pursue international study experiences and collaborations.

Although still a relatively young institution, Berlin International University of Applied Sciences aims to become a leading private university in Germany, renowned for its international, intercultural and interdisciplinary teaching and applied research.
