The university is located in Cologne's Müngersdorf district. Admission to this specialized public university is highly competitive, even for programs without NC restrictions, due to the demanding sports aptitude test (Sporteignungsprüfung), which tests proficiency in swimming, athletics, gymnastics, team sports, and endurance, with only a 50-60% pass rate.
