Education and research, combining the strengths of universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulen) and traditional universities. We offer our students eight career-focused bachelor and nine research-based master programs. Our junior scientists undertake research in cooperation with renowned universities, both at home and abroad: this strong international network benefits both students and scientists. Research here is both applied and fundamental, with a focus on special crops in Viticulture and Horticulture and their production and processing, linking these areas with Fresh Produce Logistics and Food Safety, Economics and Marketing. Other focus areas are in planning and design in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Construction and Nature Conservation.
