About the University

The Hochschule Worms, also known as Worms University of Applied Sciences, is a public university of applied sciences founded in 1978. With approximately 3,500 students, it is a small, modern institution located in the historic city of Worms, Germany, just 40 miles outside of Frankfurt am Main. The university offers a practical, career-oriented education through three main faculties: Computer Science, Tourism and Travel Management and Business Administration. Students can pursue both business and technical bachelor's and master's programmes, some of which can be completed while working. The university also offers MBA programmes as part of its continuing education programme.

One of the outstanding features of the University of Worms is its strong international orientation. The university has cooperation agreements with more than 140 universities in over 30 countries worldwide. Students have the opportunity to earn double Bachelor's or Master's degrees at numerous partner universities. This global focus is reflected in the student body, with almost 20% of the 3,200 students coming from partner universities in more than 50 countries. The campus environment at the University of Worms offers a blend of academic and social experiences. Outside the classroom, students can get involved in various clubs and organisations, enjoy the university's student-run bar and café, and participate in sports clubs. The city of Worms itself offers a wonderful mix of history, culture, festivals and nightlife for students to explore.

The University of Worms has been recognised for its commitment to supporting international students. The university offers DAAD Graduation Grants each semester, providing financial support for international students pursuing a degree. In addition, the Rhineland-Palatinate State Scholarship is awarded twice a year by the university to talented students.
