Flensburg: International Programs with Admission Restriction — Numerus Clausus/NC (2026/27)

Flensburg offers international students a distinctive educational experience at Europa-Universität Flensburg and Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, both located in a charming maritime city at Germany's northernmost point, just minutes from the Danish border. The universities reflect their unique setting, with particular strengths in wind energy, international management, and nautical sciences that connect directly to the region's coastal economy and cross-border character. International students benefit from a Danish-German cultural blend that creates an international atmosphere unusual for a city of 90,000—bilingual street signs, Scandinavian design influences, and a relaxed Nordic sensibility shape daily life in ways that help newcomers feel welcome quickly. The compact, walkable city centre hugs a stunning fjord waterfront lined with historic merchant houses, maritime museums, and cosy cafés, fostering both academic focus and genuine social connection in a setting where everything feels accessible.
