Autonomous Systems: List of all tuition-free study programs in Germany (2026/2027)

Autonomous Systems programs in Germany equip international students to design intelligent machines capable of operating independently in complex, dynamic environments, studying in a nation whose engineering heritage, robotics leadership, and Industry 4.0 vision make it a global hub for automation innovation. These interdisciplinary English-taught degrees merge robotics, machine learning, control theory, computer vision, and sensor fusion, preparing students to develop systems that navigate cities without drivers, coordinate fleets of delivery drones, optimize smart factories, or monitor remote environments without human intervention. Learning takes place in state-of-the-art robotics labs, simulation environments, and testing facilities, often in collaboration with research powerhouses like the Fraunhofer Society, the German Aerospace Center (DLR), and industry leaders from automotive giants to deep-tech startups.
