Software Engineers are responsible for developing, implementing, and administering software programs to help various businesses and institutions do their work better and more efficiently. Under the umbrella of Computer Science, Software Engineering (also known as Developing or Programming) is on the "softer side" of the spectrum, as opposed to infrastructure-based roles - however, this doesn't mean that software engineers aren't increasingly crucial to helping businesses in every field complete their daily tasks, as well as pushing the envelope in terms of what the species can accomplish for ourselves and for our world.
