Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (OVGU), founded in 1993 through the merger of the Technical University, the University of Education, and the Medical Academy, is a young yet dynamic public research university with over 10,000 students. Located in Saxony-Anhalt’s capital, its compact campus stretches from the lively city center to the green Elbe meadows, offering short distances and excellent accessibility. The university is particularly strong in technology, natural sciences, and medicine, with programs spanning computer science, engineering, business, humanities, and social sciences, as well as innovative fields such as neuroscience and biosystems engineering.
