Sustainable Chemistry: Top Study Programs (2026/27)

The study of sustainable chemistry in Germany focuses on the design of chemical processes and products in line with the principles of sustainability, including environmental and social considerations such as resource efficiency, energy use and safety. Sustainable chemistry focuses on developing processes and products that are environmentally friendly, energy efficient and safe for human health. Examples include creating medicines with fewer by-products, designing household products that are biodegradable and developing renewable energy technologies.
